Obituary of Helen Chominski

Helen Chominski, age 98 of Chadds Ford, PA passed away peacefully on April 18, 2024 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Born and raised in Chester, PA, Helen resided for the past 3 years in Chadds Ford, PA, previously residing in Upper Chichester, PA for 45 years. Helen graduated from Chester High School. She was an active member of St. Hedwig's Catholic Church in Chester until it recently closed. She contributed time to the Sodality Society and was active in many church functions throughout the years. Helen was a devoted wife to Al and they enjoyed 54 years together. They created a warm loving environment for all their family, friends, and neighbors. Helen's many friends can attest to her generous nature and her compassion. Her favorite hobby was shopping, especially for her kids! She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother or "Baba". Her family was her world and she made all feel very loved and cared for. She truly lived a life of grace. In addition to her parents, Charles W. and Sophie A. Petruk Fedena, Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Albin A. Chominski who passed in 2002, granddaughter, Wendy Aron who passed in 2021, three siblings, Anne Shillingford, Alice Rubercheck and Val Fedena. She is survived by three children, Diane (Larry) Aron, Danny (Karen) Chominski and David Chominski, six grandchildren, Christopher (Liz) Aron, Becky (Mark) Mehl, Molly (Don) Mangan, Daniel (Katie) Chominski, Ryan Chominski and Nicholas Chominski, seven great-grandchildren, Logan, Rose, Summer, Aaron, Ben, Ella and Sofia. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 22nd, from 6:00-8:00pm at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA. An additional visitation will take place at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 430 Valleybrook Road, Glen Mills, PA, on Tuesday from 9:45-10:45AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM. Interment, Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA. Donations in her memory may be made to either the Bernardine Center (www.bernardinecenter.org) or Mainline HomeCare (ww.mainlinehealth.org).
